UNORTHODOX

For months now, we have been looking for a household help. With me and my husband both working, it's hard maintaining a house and still have time to relax after a day or even a week's worth of work. We moved into our house just 4 months ago, and it still looks like we just moved in 2 days ago. The only room we really made an effort to be comfortable is the master's bedroom. The other rooms we organize slowly. I may be in the house more than going to the office these past weeks, but if i do all the cleaning necessary and all the chores it would defeat the purpose of me taking time to relax! Cooking and some cleaning here and there is all i can afford to do.

A few days ago we found news from my parents' household help that there's someone interested to be employed as our own help. Of course we were ecstatic that finally we can get our house in proper order! But there's a catch, the help is gay. With no second thoughts, we hired him! It may be unorthodox to have a gay household help but if he can do what a female help can do, and more, why not?

He's arriving from the province tonight. Wish us luck, that this will turn out to be a very good decision and a long term employ.

HANKERING

Oh to have to touch hands like these is a blessing we haven't yet received.
But we will… soon…

The past few weeks, i have been finding myself home alone to rest, to relax myself. All in hopes for a baby :)

We have been hankering for a baby for a few months now. Me & my husband have been to 2 doctors seeking for help and all they have given us are fertility schedules and vitamins to help us along. It turned out, all our lab results seem to have appeared normal. It should be a good thing and it is, but with no other beating heart in my womb right now, i can't help feeling all the more anxious and all the more desire to be pregnant really soon.

Then again, my anxiety seem to be causing me another form of stress. Phew! It's when everything seem normal that i feel more helpless. Maybe that's why i get stressed out so easily. There i said it, and my husband couldn't agree more.

COMMENCE

On a long drive home last night, it just popped into my head to have some kind of word-of-the-day for myself. I know that a lot of people have been doing this, but coming from a country where English is practically second nature to us, i just feel the whim on imposing new words into my vocabulary. And then i thought, why not make a blog about it just to check on the progress of this personal project.

So, let's do this! Or should is say i'll do this!!!

I should begin with COMMENCE, not only because i am just starting this blog but as a toast for my sister as she commences a new life for herself. In a few hours, she's going back to Australia to start a new chapter in her life after she lost her fiance to a tragic, senseless crime just a few weeks ago. I admire her strength in moving on, moving back to the country where they have started building their dreams. I applaud her for the drive to move forward and the will to continue building their dreams on her own.

Little sis, know that we, your family, will always be here for you and we support you every step of the way. We are so proud of what you have become. We love you!
I know that wherever you are, you are in peace.
Look after my sister from up there and we will take care of her here for you.
You have been loved, and you still are… you will always be in our hearts.
